Who we work with

Therapy for Men

Most men arrive at therapy late — after the marriage got quiet, after the anger found a target it regrets, after the drinking or the numbness or the 60-hour weeks stopped covering the gap. Not because the problems were small, but because handling it alone was the only model on offer.

This practice was built by two male clinicians who work with men every day. The work is direct, concrete, and free of the vague hand-holding that makes many men write therapy off.

What brings men in

  • Pressure that has nowhere acceptable to go
  • Anger that's really something else wearing armor
  • Marriages and relationships running on low power
  • Sex and performance concerns — treated clinically here, not awkwardly
  • Career identity: the win that didn't deliver, the loss that did damage
  • Fatherhood, divorce, and the transitions in between

How we work with men

Expect questions with a point, honest observations, and things to actually do between sessions. CBT and Motivational Interviewing give structure; EMDR addresses what experience left behind; and when the concern touches sex or intimacy — as it does for many men — you're with a clinician who holds a doctorate in exactly that, so nothing needs to be talked around.

No one will make you cry on cue or translate your life into jargon. Show up as you are; the work meets you there.

Common questions

Reasonable. The consultation exists for exactly this — fifteen minutes, ask anything, no commitment. Skepticism is a fine starting posture; we'd rather earn the trust than presume it.

You maintain your car, your career, and your body. This is the same category of maintenance for the equipment that runs all three. The strongest men we see are the ones who stopped outsourcing the problem to willpower.

Yes — more comfortably here than almost anywhere. Sexual health is this practice's flagship specialty, approached with the same clinical precision as anything else.
